Mariam Tsindeliani
Todua Clinic’s Medical Physicist, Mariam Tsindeliani, has been selected as a recipient of the Fulbright Program of the United States Embassy and will continue her studies in the United States at Duke University with full scholarship support.
Notably, since 2010, no physicist had been awarded funding through the Fulbright Program, and after 16 years, Mariam Tsindeliani has become the first physicist to receive this prestigious scholarship.
Since 2025, Mariam has been working at Todua Clinic as a Medical Physicist. Her responsibilities include ensuring radiation safety, performing quality control of medical equipment, managing radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive waste in nuclear medicine, as well as implementing modern technologies and clinical protocols.
During her student years, she was the recipient of several state and private scholarships and actively participated in scientific conferences and educational projects.
Mariam is also a member of the TSU Computational Physics Student Laboratory, where she is involved in research based on numerical calculations and computer modeling.
Mariam’s primary goal is to contribute to the development of the field of medical physics in Georgia by applying the knowledge and experience she gains in the United States, as well as to support its further advancement and popularization.
On behalf of the clinic, we congratulate Mariam on this remarkable achievement and wish her every success on this important journey.
