Preparation for Gastroscopy

Do not eat any food after 8:00 PM on the day before the examination. Only clear liquids are permitted.
On the day of the examination, do not consume any food or liquids, including water and medications.

Choose the bowel preparation medication recommended by your physician and follow the corresponding instructions carefully.

Failure to follow the preparation instructions may result in inadequate bowel cleansing, making it impossible to perform the examination.

Preparation begins 24 hours before the examination.

Avoid fruits and vegetables 1–2 days before the examination.
On the day before the examination, drink plenty of fluids, such as water, still mineral water, and light tea.
If you experience severe hunger, honey water is allowed.
Until 10:00 AM, a light breakfast consisting of dairy products (e.g., yogurt, kefir, cottage cheese, or sour cream) is permitted.
After 10:00 AM, no food is allowed.

First dose: 2:00 PM – Dissolve 2 sachets in 1 liter of room-temperature water.
Drink the solution evenly over one hour.
Second dose: 6:00 PM – Prepare and take another 2 sachets in the same way.

If your colonoscopy is scheduled after 2:00 PM, the preparation schedule may be adjusted:

On the day of the examination, do not consume any food or liquids, including water and medications.

Dissolve 3 sachets in 3 liters of room-temperature water.

Drink the prepared solution evenly between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
