Clinical Laboratory at the Dighomi Branch

At the clinical laboratory of the Dighomi branch of Todua Clinic, the following analyses are performed: biochemical, immunological, hematological, coagulation system studies, and multi-module urine analysis, as well as the determination of the composition of biological fluids using biochemical and polarizing methods.

The Cobas E-411 is a fully automated analyzer based on the immunochemiluminescence method and is equipped with a wide range of test panels.

Immunological Investigations

  • Hormonal fertility
  • Thyroid and parathyroid hormones
  • Pituitary hormones
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Cardiac markers
  • Inflammatory markers
  • Cancer markers
  • Pregnancy monitoring
  • Vitamins
  • Infectious diseases
  • Hepatitis
  • Human immunodeficiency syndrome
  • Urogenital infections
  • Rheumatological diseases – inflammatory and degenerative
  • Blood and vascular diseases
  • Thrombosis and antiphospholipid syndrome markers
  • Gastroenterological diseases
  • Metabolic diseases with rheumatoid dysfunction

Biochemical Investigations

Enzymes, carbohydrates, proteins, and lipid metabolism, homocysteine, ammonia, antioxidants are determined using automated analyzers COBAS c 311 and (ROCHE DIAGNOSTICS). Electrolytes are analyzed through EXIAS.

Hematological Investigations

Performed on the latest generation hematological analyzer (CBC+DIFF) SYSMEX XN1000. Blood smear staining and cell visualization, new markers for diagnosing inflammatory processes, abnormal cell classification, maximum accuracy in platelet counting, and ESR determination via the Westergren method (SABIO).

Coagulation System Studies

Performed using the STA COMPACT MAX 3 coagulation analyzer (DIAGNOSTICA STAGO). The combination of chromogenic, clotting, and immunological methods allows for the monitoring of thrombophilia, anticoagulant activity, antiphospholipid syndrome, hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, DIC syndrome, as well as surgical and oncological patient monitoring.

Urine Analysis

SYSMEX US100 – Analysis of the physical-chemical properties of urine, simultaneous detection of formed elements, salt crystals, bacteria (gram-positive, negative), and yeast-like cells, study of kidney function using protein-creatinine and albumin/creatinine ratios.

Determination of the Composition of Biological Fluids

Determination of the composition of biological fluids (liquor, pleural and synovial fluid, etc.) using biochemical and polarizing methods.

Scientific Focus:

Identification of the informational value of the latest laboratory technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular, central nervous system, and gastrointestinal tract diseases, as well as oncological pathologies.

Participation in the external quality control international systems INSTAND (Germany) RANDOX - RIQAS UK.

Based on the laboratory, the Tbilisi State Medical University residency and professional rehabilitation program in the specialty of “Laboratory Medicine” is conducted.
