The Department of Psychiatry offers modern methods for the diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues.
The department provides diagnosis and treatment for the following disorders:
- Anxiety and fear-related disorders: generalized anxiety disorder, panic attacks or disorders, neurosis, social and/or specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma- and stress-related disorders, such as acute stress disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder
- Depression: significant worsening of mood, feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, negative thoughts, etc.
- Sleep disorders: insomnia, excessive sleepiness, etc.
- Somatoform disorders: hypochondria, body dysmorphic disorder, conversion disorder, etc.
- Eating disorders
- Sexual disorders and dysfunction
- Impulse control disorders
- Antisocial and other personality disorders
- Neurocognitive disorders (memory and orientation impairments, dementia)
- Mood disorders: bipolar disorder
- Psychotic disorders: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, brief psychotic episodes.
