MAGNETOM AERA introduces an updated platform for the Total Image Matrix (TIM), known as TIM 4G. In this case, 4G refers to additional spiral elements and a special SNR derived from DirectRF technology (wireless coil).

Combining TIM 4G technology with daily bandwidth optimization (DOT) it is possible to reduce scan time up to 50% by scheduling individual scans fitted to all patients - from a wide tunnel to an XQ gradient package
