The Department of Computed Tomography

Conduct high-quality research under the supervision of professional doctors!

Toidua Clinic's Computer Tomography Department

Department Head – Radiologist Giorgi Tzivtivadze

The Computer Tomography Department at Toidua Clinic is equipped with the latest generation of 4 computer tomography machines:

  • Somatom Force
  • Somatom go.Top
  • Somatom Definition Edge
  • Somatom Definition Edge Plus

These tomography machines are distinguished by high image quality and innovative software. Artificial intelligence (AI)-driven tomography systems enable the highest quality imaging with minimal radiation doses.

The Computer Tomography Department Includes the Following:

  • Computer Tomographic Diagnosis of the Brain, Skull Bones, Spine, Chest, Abdomen, and Pelvic Organs
  • CT Angiography
  • Brain Perfusion Studies
  • Non-invasive CT Coronary Angiography – This study is characterized by high accuracy, does not require hospitalization, and has no complications. The study takes 5-7 minutes.
  • CT Densitometry – Quantitative assessment of bone mineral density and determination of osteoporosis levels.
  • Various Interventional Procedures

Todua Clinic is a Pioneer in This Field

It is noteworthy that in 1991, the computer tomography direction was established for the first time in the region at our medical center by Academician Fridon Toidua.

Our department is staffed with radiologists who have 25 years of experience and have published nearly 200 scientific articles in international journals.

What is Computer Tomography?

Computer tomography (CT) is a procedure where X-rays from a CT scanner are directed towards the patient. The signals received are processed by the device, providing the radiologist with detailed information about what is happening inside the patient's body.

The computer-generated image provides the radiologist with detailed information, creating a 3-D representation of the patient. This 3-D image provides comprehensive information about various pathologies and tumors.

Computer tomography is crucial for timely diagnosis and the initiation of appropriate treatment.

Modern Technology at Todua Clinic

At Toidua Clinic, computer tomography is performed with the latest technology, ensuring the highest standards of care.

High-Quality Modern Tomograph: Somatom Force

Somatom Force is the latest generation CT scanner known for its exceptional imaging capabilities. It utilizes Dual Source Dual Energy (DSDE) technology, which includes two X-ray tubes. Both tubes work simultaneously at different energy levels, allowing for high-resolution images with reduced radiation exposure.

Fast and Efficient Scanner: Somatom go.Top

Somatom go.Top is a versatile CT scanner designed to provide high-quality images. It is a fast and efficient machine, ideal for routine procedures. The go.Top scanner is equipped with a range of features aimed at optimizing workflow and enhancing patient comfort.

Somatom Definition Edge – Advanced Features

Somatom Definition Edge is also a state-of-the-art CT scanner. It uses advanced technology to create detailed, high-quality images, making it especially valuable in complex situations. The scanner is equipped with features that enhance its ability to capture precise anatomical details.

Somatom Definition Edge Plus – A New Era in Computer Tomography

The latest model of the Somatom Definition Edge is the Edge Plus, which offers additional advanced features. It captures full images with exceptional speed and accuracy. The Edge Plus scanner is equipped with innovative software and technical specifications, further enhancing its diagnostic capabilities.

All four computer tomography scanners at Toidua Clinic are equipped with the latest technology and innovative software. They utilize artificial intelligence to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, ensuring patient safety as the top priority. Together, these scanners offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic capabilities.

Thanks to these advanced CT scanners, the medical team can promptly provide accurate diagnoses, develop treatment methods, and tailor them to best meet the needs of the patient.
