VARIAN EDGE

EDGE is a radiosurgical system with unique capabilities. This device performs one or more high-dose fractional radiosurgical treatments of both intra and extracranial formations. Unlike other radiosurgical systems, EDGE is distinguished by its accuracy and speed of treatment, performing both 3-dimensional radiosurgical treatment, as well as RapidArc and IMRT.

Through this system, irradiation of healthy tissues near the tumor is minimized. The device allows radiation oncologists and medical physicists to select different treatment options for difficult cases. EDGE can be used to treat patients who would not otherwise be able to receive radiation therapy. This device is the gold standard in the treatment of patients needing radiosurgery, controls the accuracy of irradiation parameters throughout the treatment cycle.
